Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair met personally to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Ex twice unified heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Mentality
"I'm going to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a composed Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually famous for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Opponent
In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning huge paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently in the works for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Physical Difference
As both boxers met for the customary confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how amazing it is that the fight is actually happening.
